Position: Data Architect
Location: St. Louis, MO
Duration: Long Term
1. Excellent knowledge on database management system software, especially Teradata, NoSQL databases and exposure to Cloud technologies like Redshift, S3 and EMR
2. Deep understanding of Information management and data processing on multiple platforms
3. Healthcare domain/data knowledge is a must
4. Experience with Data visualization and data migration
5. RDBMS (relational database management systems) and MPP system architectures
6. Data mining and modeling tools, especially ERWin, Enterprise Architect, and Visio Programming languages, especially Python and Java, including UNIX, Linux, Solaris, and MS Windows
7. Application server software, especially Backup/archival softwares
8. Communicate with many different company stakeholders to assess data management needs and goals
9. Evaluate current data architecture and databases
10. Plan end-to-end model for data consumption and analysis
11. Code new data architecture, integrating existing databases
12. Use ETL (extract, transform, load) best practices in the creation of the database
13. Research and discover new methods to acquire data
14. Monitor databases and report on effectiveness and accuracy, updating as needed
15. Maintain security of the database, and create standards to ensure that the system is safe
