On behalf of one of our large Life Sciences clients, Procom Services is looking for a Data Analyst for a 12 month plus Remote project.
Person can be based anywhere in the US and work remotely on an EST schedule.

Job Summary:
Contribute to a skilled, multi-disciplinary team focused on delivering results.
Ability to think systematically, using operations research practices, to understand the product development process, identifying needs to drive efficiencies and operational improvements in Seeds R&D.
Conduct analysis of big data, applying novel and routine methods to meet team deliverables that include operational improvement, process optimization and improved decision making within our development pipeline.
Share key learnings and present technical content for different levels of informational needs.
Model complex problems, discover insights, and identify opportunities using statistical, algorithmic, and visualization techniques.
Work with ETL Architects and IT platform leads to create fit-for-purpose data structures and data models to enable mathematical modeling and optimization.
Assist as a team member to develop effective data visualizations and reporting tools.
Ensure compliance with technical best practices, standards, and policies.
Qualifications:
Master's degree or Bachelor's with equivalent experience in Operations Research, Business Analytics, Engineering, Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or/and Mathematics
1-3 years of experience applying mathematical modeling, optimization, simulation, and data analysis to solve real-world problems. Research experience also qualifies.
1+ years proficiency in supply chain modeling and optimization, combinatorial optimization, and/or resource allocation algorithm development.
Proficiency in Python, R, Matlab, CPLEX, Gurobi, AMPL, GAMS or other commercial solvers.
Knowledge in AWS Data Services
Preferences:
General knowledge in plant breeding process
Project experience working in Agile development methodologies
A team player with excellent communication skills, logical thinking and analytical skills.
Ability to be flexible, decision oriented, and self-motivated
Ability to manage multiple work streams with conflicting deadlines proactively
Interest in applying operations research to agriculture and meeting global challenges.
