Job Description:
We are seeking an innovative, and experienced senior Network Security Engineer to join the Secure Services Network (SSN) team.
Primary responsibilities of the Network Security Engineer will be supporting new initiatives within the SSN, providing secure, resilient solutioning and designs that provide optimum protection to the environment.
S/he will work collaboratively with the engineering and architecture teams to ensure solutions and services are designed and adopted effectively.
The network engineer is responsible for, but not limited to, performing maintenance and support functions associated with network and server systems.

Position Responsibilities (including but not limited to):
Performs analysis of infrastructure and network requirements for new initiatives, responsible for design, install, configuration and maintenance of network and server devices, based on company standards.
Maintaining and administering firewalls, switches and intrusion detection systems.
Fault handling and escalation (identifying and responding to faults, liaising with 3rd party suppliers, handling escalation through to resolution
Provisioning (IP assignment, network configuration, monitoring and graphing
Maintaining hardware serial audits.
Creation and maintenance of technical documentation, processes and procedures used throughout normal operations.
Monitor, diagnose, and resolve complex network and computer system issues Management of system performance, capacity, service quality.
Lead initiatives for the optimization and restructuring of network architecture.
Provide timely response to user base for assistance, through a ticketing system Installation/upgrade of systems, including extensive testing to ensure tools are error and bug free, and data is accurate.
Participating in the organization’s incident response process Identify and recommend security enhancements to management as needed.
Collaborate regularly with Security teams, communicating potential impacting changes and to understand requirements and preferences of supported systems.
Continuous improvement of service operating and implementation processes and procedures.
Problem solving and troubleshooting skills to independently resolve communication and systems issues Assist in evaluating, planning, configuration, and implementation of new/existing security applications/tools Present new project proposals, participate in special projects, as needed, and perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
A strong multi-tasker with a keen eye for detail that thrives in a fast-paced work environment. Innovative, analytical and driven.
Competent technical skills and solid understanding of systems management, networking, and multiple security technologies and concepts.
Bachelor’s Degree with concentration in engineering/computer science or minimum 5 years’ successful experience in similar role.
Must be able to work independently as well as work as part of a fast-moving team
Ability to meet deadlines, time constraints and periodic requirements
Experience designing secure networks, systems and resilient application architectures Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications
Understanding of entire technology stack of networks, databases, applications and endpoints Experience planning, researching and developing security policies, standards and procedures is a plus.
Ability to learn and retain information on multiple products
Detailed-oriented with strong communication, Interpersonal and organizational skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Visio and Office.
Working experience and knowledge of operating systems (e.g.: Windows, UNIX/Linux) and databases (SQL) a plus.
Must participate in a 24x7 on-call rotation
