Job description:   

As Project Manager, you will lead the team on a complex small project, medium size project or significant segment of a large project. The candidate will be responsible for the performance, cost, scope, schedule, quality and appropriate business measurements for their project/segment of the project, according to their project charter.  The candidate will work with the business team and/or project team members to identify business requirements and develops and/or reviews the business and functional requirement documents.  Subsequently leads a team in the initiating, planning, controlling, executing, and closing tasks of a project (or segment of a project) to produce the solution deliverable. Execute a wide range of process activities beginning with the request for proposal through development, test, and final delivery.



The candidate will possess a combination of strong analysis, design, application development, and implementation skills within financial applications. This individual will work with a team responsible for the development and/or implementation of the enterprise-wide store and corporate user-based solutions. During the project lifecycle, the individual will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams of users, developers and QA analysts to ensure successful delivery of critical projects.  The candidate must be able to work through the various phases of the projects and take it to successful completion from beginning to end.



Job duties:


Leads and coordinates software design, development and testing.
Leads gathering of business requirements, documentation, analysis, and cross-functional communications.
Liaison with various Business units who will be partners on the project.
Ensure the timely creation of required materials; including technical specifications, project and resource plans, project updates and presentation materials.
Responsible for risk assessment and reporting.
Provides expert technical leadership to the development team.
Coordinates and tracks all project deliverables (milestones, dependencies, critical paths
Takes ownership of on-time/on-budget project(s) completion.
Assists in managing all project resources (internal/external), including budgets.
Develops short term and long-term project plans, priorities and objectives.


Required Skills




3+ years experience in a PM role leading major initiatives
Team & Project Leadership skills – Must be able to facilitate meetings with Business stakeholders
A background combining hands-on design or development experience, and project/program management expertise (at a senior level)
Must be business process-centric and well organized
Strong business acumen and experience in managing (and understanding) business aspects of software projects
Effective Communication (Written and Verbal)
Fluent in Microsoft Office suite, especially MS-Project, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio, Outlook, and Teams
Ability to multi-task, meet deadlines and work under pressure with minimal supervision
Excellent time management skills
Basic SQL – Ability to write and execute basic SQL queries




Desired Skills




Strong iSeries experience – Data analysis and system navigation
Strong experience with financial applications – Lawson experience a plus
Retail Application & Business Knowledge
PMP Certification a big plus
