Will Consider All Levels:

·       Engineer III (5+ yrs. Experience & bachelor39;s degree)

·       Engineer IV (Sr. 8+ yrs. Experience)

·       Engineer V (Sr. 12+ yrs. Experience)


·       Engineer III $108- $120K + 10% bonus + stock

·       Engineer IV $116- $140K + 15% bonus + stock

·       Engineer V $140K- $155K  + 15-20% bonus + stock

Location: Reston, VA (remote until June 30th for now)

Work Authorization: US Citizen/ Green Card

·       Will consider out of town candidates. Cannot promise relo assistance though.

Interview Process:

·       Phone Screen- technical screening

o   They will ask standard, typical design and coding questions. Expect them to be comfortable is answering and discussing their solutions. Sometimes senior candidates are rusty on fundamentals, but it is very important they are up to date on algorithms, code review, security, etc. and basics.

·       Final Interview- WebEx Video



·       Product Engineering Team,

·       C/ C++ development, systems programming

·       5+ years of C++ development at least will need to pass C++ coding interview

·       Python

·       Linux

·       DNS or internet protocols is ideal

·       Experience writing some kind of network service. Maybe doing HTTP services but also DNS services

·       Need to have internet protocol experience

·       Will be working as an individual contributor in a team

·       Need to be comfortable doing some level of design

·       Agile

·       Will be doing automation work, do automation through Jenkins, will be comfortable using scripting languages as well.

·       They have a few different product lines.

o   DNS infrastructure for .com and .net services. - Developing capabilities and filters.

o   Have a "load balancer product", will also work on this. It directs network traffic to backend servs. It was historically written as a modified kernel program *understanding of kernel is great! *migrating this from kernel to non-user application.

·       Verisign is an operator of CRITICAL infrastructure. They will be working on the most critical piece of the internet39;s infrastructure. Want someone passionate about the internet and making it work.

·       During the interview will ask algorithms, architectures, must be comfortable at this level, actually developing complete systems. NOT just setting them up



·       Familiarity with relational databases could be helpful. Don39;t use a lot of cloud technologies or AWS. Not necessarily helpful there.
