Mandatory skills:
• Excellent knowledge on Oracle enterprise manager
• Experience in Patching Or Upgrading Standalone/RAC Oracle Database Using OEM Fleet Maintenance.
• Create and maintain groups or pools of Oracle Homes in OEM Fleet Maintenance
• Create gold images using reference environments and versioning them for additional changes in OEM Fleet Maintenance
• Subscribe databases and clusters to a gold image on which the appropriate patches have been applied in OEM Fleet Maintenance.
• Deploy the image and switch associated targets from the old Oracle Home to the new Oracle Home in OEM Fleet Maintenance.
Good-to-have skills:
• Excellent Exadata DBA with hands-on experience of DB administration and management
• Provide technical support on Oracle Exadata appliance, database/applications
• Should be excellent in provisioning, decommissioning, software installation, database creation, upgrades & patching
• Should have very good understanding of database migration from legacy to engineered systems
• Should possess excellent problem diagnosing and troubleshooting skills
• Should be well versed with Exadata stack & Database management/monitoring through OEM 13c
• Experience in OEM administration & management
• Experience in performance monitoring, database maintenance, process automation, evaluation and tuning recommendations
• Implementation and support on backup/restore strategy based on the defined RTO/RPO.
• Participate in disaster recovery and data replication procedures/exercises using Oracle GoldenGate & DataGuard.
• Review and recommend Disaster Recovery (DR) tools and processes to enhance the recovery program
• Periodically Plan, schedule, and work with Oracle support to patch the Exadata machines.
• Collaborate with project teams to evaluate new database requirements.
• Review the propose logical and physical database models, consult with the Data Architect as appropriate and participate in creation of the final database structure as necessary.
• Interact with various technology teams regarding work requests submitted
• Participate in the creation of new policies, procedures, projects & processes
• Participate in all aspects of the lifecycle for database environments, implementation of application requested database code and configuration changes.
• Provide on call 24x7 emergency off-hours support of critical systems for Exadata/database problem resolution and recovery as well as production application
• Thorough understanding of Exadata Engineered system technology
