Position Description
We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic scrum master to join our growing team. The individual in this role would oversee software development team and working under the SAFe methodology. We are seeking a candidate who has the ability to think critically and problem-solve, and a track-record of ensuring project milestones and deadlines are met. Ideally the candidate will be SAFe certified or completed SAFe training and engaged in several Agile programs based on SAFe.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Direct our software development team
Oversee the scrum team and all pre-requisites to scrum team – requirements, data model, design, implementation, QA, and validation of programming code and products
Create project outlines and timelines and distribute responsibilities to team members
Facilitate daily scrums, stand-ups, and meetings to monitor project progress and resolve any issues the team may be experiencing
Shape team behavior through excellent management via the agile method
Perform reviews on software development team members
Remove project obstacles, develop solutions with team
Ensure milestones are reached and deadlines are met throughout project lifecycle
Build strong relationships with stakeholders, application users, and program owners
Document progress and communicate to upper management and stakeholders
Take responsibility for successful product delivery
Ability to act as a Scrum Master to more than one team
Experience with metrics
Ability to lead the Scrum Master Community of Practice
Ability to fill in as the RTE if the RTE is absent
Detailed knowledge of and experience with team-level Agile frameworks (including Scrum, Kanban, eXtreme Programming)
Experience facilitating the Agile Team ceremonies
Experience with tools (i.e. JIRA Align, JIRA, Rally, etc.)
Servant-leadership skills and experience
Very effective facilitation skills and experience
