Overview:
The Configuration Control Specialist will be responsible for providing full configuration management and software release management services to support business processes. This role requires the use of tools such as Version Manager, SharePoint, Gitlab, or other configuration tools to ensure effective change and release management. The specialist will develop and implement a standard, integrated change management program, supporting organizational initiatives through structured processes and communication.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, facilitate, and implement a standardized, integrated change management program.
- Provide advice and guidance on change control and release management activities.
- Utilize tools like Version Manager, SharePoint, Gitlab, or other configuration tools for configuration management.
- Ensure the selection, control, implementation, and evaluation of organizational initiatives.
- Develop and maintain communication and change management materials to support change initiatives.
- Manage the software release process, ensuring smooth and effective deployments.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to understand and document configuration management requirements.
- Ensure compliance with established configuration management processes and standards.
- Track and report on configuration management activities and software releases.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in configuration management.
Requirements:
- Education: BS/BA degree or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum 6 years of experience in configuration management or a related field.

- Proficiency in using configuration management tools such as Version Manager, SharePoint, Gitlab, or similar.
- Strong understanding of change control and release management processes.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop and deliver change management materials and communications.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in configuration management or related areas are desirable
