Job Title: Cloud Security Engineer

Location- 100% Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain security controls across cloud environments. The role focuses on protecting cloud infrastructure, applications, and data while ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement security architectures for cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Configure and manage cloud security controls including IAM, encryption, and network security
  • Monitor cloud environments for security threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations
  • Conduct risk assessments, vulnerability scans, and security audits
  • Implement and manage security tools such as SIEM, CSPM, and endpoint protection
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards (ISO 27001, SOC 2, GDPR, etc.)
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps)
  • Respond to security incidents and perform root cause analysis
  • Develop and enforce cloud security policies, standards, and best practices
  • Provide security guidance and training to internal teams

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with at least one cloud platform (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Knowledge of cloud security principles (IAM, Zero Trust, encryption, network security)
  • Experience with security tools (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, vulnerability scanners)
  • Understanding of networking concepts (VPC, firewalls, VPNs, load balancers)
  • Familiarity with scripting or automation (Python, PowerShell, or Bash)
  • Experience with container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as AWS Certified Security, Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CCSP
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM, CloudFormation)
  • Knowledge of compliance and governance frameworks
  • Exposure to threat modeling and secure application design
  • Experience in DevSecOps practices

Experience:

  • 4–8 years of IT experience with at least 2–4 years in cloud security
