Job Role: Cloud Security Architect with Azure.
Location : HOUSTON TX
Project/Scope of work:
The Cloud Security Architect provides the development and support of our Azure environment. The Cloud Security Architect will be responsible for defining the requirements for building and improving controls for the Azure Environment and various Azure services. He/She will work closely with the existing Cloud Security and Cloud DevOps teams to ensure the appropriate controls are in place to enable Azure services and the services are meeting business needs in a safe and secure manner.
Ideal candidate:
*Azure architecture with security background *Experience with DevOps
Role responsibilities may include:
* Developing security architecture that leverages cloud native solutions
* Identifying and validating security controls for Azure services
* Using Cloud DevOps'' change management processes to prevent disruptions and outages
* Functioning as part of the Cloud Governance/IT Security teams
* Working with Cloud DevOps and Business users to understand control implementation and business needs
* Building and updating service control documentation
* Working with other IT organizations to ensure quality support and delivery to the end-user
* Participating in operational initiatives
* Assisting with maintaining and reviewing existing controls library
Basic/Required:
* Bachelor''s degree or higher in Business Admin/Mgmt., Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Management Information Systems, other related technical or business discipline or foreign equivalent
* 5+ years of direct experience in Security
* 3+ years of experience in Architecture
* 2+ years of experience with Azure
* 2+ years of experience with Security Control Identification/Implementation
Preferred:
* An Azure Associate level certification - (Security Engineer, Developer, Administrator)
* Advanced experience with Azure Blueprints
* Advanced experience with Azure Policy
* Advanced experience with Azure Management Groups
* Advanced experience with Azure RBAC
* Advanced experience working with virtual teams
* Ability to build and review technical designs
* Ability to quickly learn and analyze business processes, working closely with users, business analysts and project managers
* Ability to plan and carry out responsibilities with minimal direction
* Ability to balance various tasks and prioritize efficiently in a fast pace environment supporting internal and external customers
