Job Description:
· Expertise in networking and/or network security with a working knowledge of common protocols -- routing protocols, IP segmentation, foundational TCP/UDP concepts, etc.
· Working knowledge of cloud configuration and container lifecycle management products like Kubernetes, Mesos, Istio, Docker, etc.
· Experience on infrastructure automation/orchestration facilities using Terraform, OSB/CRDs, Python, basic shell scripting, and the like.
· Working knowledge of PaaS product offerings in large-scale enterprise environments that have a blend of older (legacy) technologies and nextgen practices, with a focus on building extensions and customizations on products such as AWS, GCP, Azure, etc.
· Experience with Logging and Monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Splunk, ELK, Dynatrace, or AppDynamics is preferred
· Experience with Azure security solutions – Defender, Sentinel
· Experience with React, Angular, or NodeJS • Experience with GIT, GitLab, or GitHub; familiar with CI/CD concepts and best practices
· Hands-on experience as a Unix/Linux Engineer and/or Administrator
· Planning and review using Kanban boards, Release Planner, Jira, Confluence
· Develop and execute infrastructure projects that automates Vmware VM provisioning, Linux administration, software deployment tasks and API integration with external systems; utilizing tools such as GIT, Puppet, Vmware vRO, Python etc.
· Knowledge of agile software development and release management is required.
· Develop/extend Puppet modules for automating environment deployments and configuration management
· Creation and editing of code written in at least one of Bash/Python/Ruby.
· VM Commissioning and Decommissioning - Responsible for aspects of standing up a virtual server in a new or existing environment, as well as removing systems from an environment at the end of service life.
· Engineer will make sure all code written is to have test cases and is well documented.
· Excellent understanding of Infrastructure, Virtualization, Containers, Network, Storage, monitoring tools, Logging analytic tools, Firewalls & Security policies.
· Accelerate cycles and manage your delivery pipeline from an all-in-one central DevOps hub. Track and manage iterations, versions, and milestone
