Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures application solution design meet application performance criteria, security measures, release standards, and ensures application and system stability.
Architecture & design method champion to gather and analyze requirements, design and implement specific
analytics solutions in a hybrid environment that is distributed across the globe between Cloud and On-Premises
Provide thought leadership around the use of industry standard tools and models (including commercially available
models and tools) by leveraging experience and current industry trends.
Develop data driven solutions utilizing current and next generation technologies to meet evolving business needs.
Develop real-time data ingestion and stream-analytic solutions leveraging technologies such as Kafka, Apache Spark, NIFI, Python, HBase, Kinesis, and EMR.
Management of tools for monitoring, logging, analytics/reporting/dashboards, request management, service catalog,
backup, high availability (HA), disaster recovery knowledge preferred and expertise with popular tools like Splunk and
native cloud tools is highly desirable.
Collaborate with the Enterprise Architect, consulting partners and customers as warranted to establish and
implement strategic initiatives.
Practice Root Cause Analysis to determine the scope and scale of issue impact. Create epics/stories and construct
automation to prevent problem recurrence.
Maintain in-depth and current knowledge of the Cloud architecture, Data lake, Data warehouse, BI, IoT platform,
Platform to develop and deploy advanced analytics models and ETL tools
Responsible for communication and collaboration with key stakeholders in the delivery of features
Participate in Proof of Concept (POC) work and prototyping when necessary
Qualifications
Experience/Education Required:
Degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science OR equivalent work experience in an IT organization
7+ years of lead engineer in delivering Data Insights and Analytical solutions with the ability to coach/provide
guidance to peer and junior engineers.
3+ years of Cloud platforms with AWS tools such as S3, EC2, ECS, EKS, SageMaker, Aurora, RDS, Lambda Functions
AMI, ELB, ALB, NLB, VPC, Auto Scaling configurations, DMS, Data Streaming.
Multiple experiences implementing solutions for advance analytics using open source (Cloudera based solutions and
AWS based solutions are preferred)
Experience implementing ETL/ELT solutions with SQL and NoSQL DBs such as Oracle, SAP Hana, Redshift, Impala,
Amazon DynamoDB
Experience with Linux infrastructures, database SQL, Bigdata Platform, CI/CD tools, DevOps, scripting such as
JavaScript, PHP, Python, Perl, Ruby, Java, Shell scripting
Skills Required:
Docker and Kubernetes container orchestration and management platform
Extensive knowledge about Streaming, messaging, APIs designing RESTful services and integrated with other
providers
Designing, build and deploy programs for Big Data Platform, Cloudera Data Science Workbench, Data Streaming,
Cloud Computing-AWS Stack, HDFS and Cloudera based Hadoop systems
Ability to collaborate with management, users, contract resources, vendors, and other IT teams
Strong problem-solving capabilities. Results oriented. Relies on fact-based logic for decision-making.
Ability to work with multiple projects and work streams at one time. Must be able to deliver results based upon project deadlines.
Willing to flex daily work schedule to allow for time-zone differences for global team communications
