DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
The Texas Office of the Attorney General Child Support Division is looking for an experienced Cloud Automation Engineer to deploy infrastructure automation and advance the agency’s on-prem and cloud network automation maturity level. You are responsible for deploying and monitoring automation products/tools. You will manage the automation of our platforms using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles within a CI/CD pipeline. You will work closely with Product Managers, IAM team, network team, IaaS/Cloud Engineering and CI/CD teams to identify and leverage the best practices for automation of applications and infrastructure.
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
• Setting up continuous delivery with automated workflow
• Ensuring compliance and security management
• Deploying Infrastructure automation and maturing the automation model to optimize infrastructure management including provisioning, maintenance, failover, and disaster recovery
• Troubleshooting and performance tuning of cloud services in development, test and production environments
WORKER EDUCATION:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university in MIS, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field of study.
Experience in lieu of education will be considered.
CANDIDATE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Requirements:

7 Required Strong knowledge and experience with implementing and growing maturity in automation tools Chef, Ansible or Puppet
7 Required Strong experience in Ruby DSL, Python, YAML
7 Required Strong experience in REST API development
7 Required Experience with application security using security technologies for securing APIs and/or integrations with different systems
7 Required Experience in Linux command line and tooling
7 Required Knowledge or moderate experience in CI/CD pipeline development using tools like Jenkins or GitLab
7 Required Knowledge or moderate experience with logging and monitoring technologies such as Splunk
7 Required Working experience with Chef and Ansible configuration management
7 Required Working experience with monitoring applications such as Dynatrace and Manage Engine
7 Required Strong/Expert knowledge of PowerShell, AZ CLI, shell
7 Required Strong security/audit awareness
7 Required Experience in creation/modification of Chef or Ansible playbooks/roles.
7 Required Experience in the creation/modification of Job Templates/Projects/Inventories/Workflows and other Chef Tower Objects
3 Preferred Demonstrate expertise with multiple full life cycle analytics or system integration engagements across strategy, design, implementation
3 Preferred Knowledge of Agile project delivery methods, tools, concepts
1 Preferred Experience with cloud in public or government setting
