Title: Citrix/VDI Support Administrator

Visa: USC/GC/GC EAD

Location: Irvine, CA - Hybrid in Irvine, CA - this will be a predominant remote role. No more than 3-4 days per month in the office

Duration: 6+ months with a potential to extend for 18 months.

Looking for an experienced Citrix / VDI Support Administrator to support our IMS WEST Access Team. This position is based in Irvine and is responsible for the deployment and maintenance of Citrix and VDI infrastructure globally.

About ITBU: IMSWEST IT Supports IMSWEST as well as the IT infrastructure for one of the largest clients. This infrastructure is critical to the support of our client's business and all of its clients
What business unit is this supporting? Supporting IMSWEST and PIMCO to some extent
Is it supporting a specific project or initiative? If so, which one and in what way?
AIF Network Separation. To assist with all tasks related to network separation with PIMCO and Integration with CORP.

Will there be any training provided or would the need to jump right in first day?
Yes some training will be required to understand the environment. More process and environment training than a technical one.
Must:
In-depth experience in implementing and supporting Citrix XenDesktop 7x, Citrix XenApp 7x, Citrix Store Front, Citrix Netscalers, VMware, Nutanix, and Virtual Desktop Infrastructure Deployments
Able to design overall VDI solutions, conduct planning, requirements analysis, pre and post implementation support, training and maintenance
Able to troubleshoot infrastructure problems, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and create supporting documentation

Skills:
Minimum 3-5 years' experience with the administration of Citrix and VMware Enterprise Products
Minimum 5 years providing Level 1 and Level 2 User Support
Minimum 5 years supporting Desktop Operating Systems
Knowledge and experience with Nutanix hardware and AHV preferred

Plus:
Experience with HPE Moonshot a plus

Responsibilities:
Support all VDI's and Users supported by the Access Team. This includes but is not limited to: Citrix XenDesktop 7x, Citrix XenApp 7x, Citrix Store Front, Citrix Netscalers, Vmware vSphere, Nutanix HW and AHV, Wyse Thin Client devices.
Be responsible for delivering technology solutions and ensuring stability for a global Citrix/VDI environment.
Work across departments to make sure requirements are understood to ensure successful solutions.
Maintain and update documentation to stay current
Support infrastructure projects
Support day to day issues.

Support change control policies
Able to design overall VDI solutions, conduct planning, requirements analysis, pre and post implementation support, training and maintenance
Responsible for ensuring that the client's performance, security, user experience, reliability, availability, and all other functional and non-functional requirements are met
Maintain system documentation, including participation of acceptance testing and validation by business units
Able to troubleshoot infrastructure problems, perform root cause analysis (RCA), and create supporting documentation
Must be Proactive and responsive
