Must Have : DO 178 Certification, must have generated Software planning documentation, must have been a part of SOI audits. Reviewing and preparation of SOI checklists( It includes all the SAS:Software accomplishment summary checklists i.e SDP, SVP, PSAC, LLR, HLR, SCI),Anyone supported for DER closely,Awareness of full lifecycle of DO178B or C starting from planning to certification.

Note: Generally look for Soft Verification/Validation/Integration folks who participate in these SOI audits once they become lead or managers

Position Responsibilities:

Software development experience

Software verification experience

Knowledge of DO178B

Hands on experience in handling certification

Knowledge of SOI audits, review, checklists etc

Review of artefacts involved in certification using checklist

Preferred Qualifications :

Bachelor's Degree or higher from an accredited course of study in electrical, aerospace and computer engineering is preferred.

10+ years experience in Avionics

Knowledge of FAA/EASA Certification

Knowledge on Cabin and interior systems

If candidate worked on software development then he/she will use either C or C++ so please look for below skills

Position Overview

We are seeking passionate and experienced Mid-Level Avionics Certification Engineers to join our team in defining and shaping the future of flight. The successful candidate will play a key role in software certification activities in accordance with DO-178B guidelines, working closely with Designated Engineering Representatives (DERs) and cross-functional avionics teams.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support software certification planning and execution per DO-178B standards.

Prepare, review, and maintain certification documentation including PSAC, SDP, SVP, HLR, LLR, SCI, and other lifecycle data.

Support and participate in SOI (Stage of Involvement) audits with FAA/EASA and internal DERs.

Perform reviews of artifacts and processes using standard SOI checklists to ensure compliance with certification requirements.

Collaborate closely with DERs, software development, and verification teams to resolve audit findings and ensure traceability and compliance.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of certification processes, documentation, and audit readiness.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.

Minimum 8 10 years of experience in avionics software development and verification.

Hands-on experience with DO-178B software certification processes and documentation.

Solid understanding of SOI audits, review processes, and compliance checklists.

Proven experience in software development and verification within a safety-critical environment.

Advanced understanding of FAA/EASA certification processes and regulatory standards.

Experience with Cabin and Interior Systems or similar avionics subsystems.

Prior experience working in large OEM environments (e.g., Boeing, Airbus) or with certification authorities.

Strong communication, coordination, and technical documentation skills.
