CDN Engineer
Location: Denver, CO or Austin, TX (Onsite)
9 Months Contract to Hire(Candidate will be hired in 9 Months)
Role Responsibilities
· Proven hands-on knowledge / experience on Content Delivery Networking (CDN). CDN Traffic Management, Performance and Metrics, Caching, Rewrites, Load Balancing methods, HTTP Cache/Proxy.
· Troubleshoot issues relating to web traffic (HTTP status codes, caching issues, routing issues, etc).
· Configuration of all necessary reports, dashboard, and searches required by teams.
· Knowledge transfer installation, configuration, and administration of the CDN application.
· Providing scheduled and emergency after-hours support on a rotating basis.
Role Requirements
· BS in Computer Science or related fields with 5+ years of professional experience or MS with 3+ years of experience.
· Experience in integrating websites (internal or customer) and understands the benefits of CDN technologies (performance, security, reliability, scalability).
· Experience with one of either Akamai, Cloudflare, Fastly, or CloudFront
· Ability to explain an HTTP request’s journey from the browser all the way to the web Origin.
· who understands the basics of proxies, load balancers, managing cache, etc.
· Experience in a technical customer-facing consultation role within the Information Technology industry, using excellent business writing, presentation, and communication skills
· who can troubleshoot issues relating to web traffic (HTTP status codes, caching issues, routing issues, etc.)
· Experience with one or more programming/scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, JSON, XML and Java).
· Experience with API tools like Postman/Rest APIs and API acceleration/Caching.
· Demonstrate comprehensive understanding of the internet, including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, and SSL protocols.
· Background in web acceleration, web security, or infrastructure security technologies.
· Team player with strong analytical, verbal, and written communication skills.
