Job Title: Calypso Application Specialist

About the Role

We are currently looking for a highly skilled onshore professional with strong Calypso domain expertise to support our trading platform at Citizens. The Calypso application is an end-to-end trading and risk management platform used extensively across derivative products, including Interest Rate Derivatives, Foreign Exchange Options, and Commodities. Candidates with equivalent experience on similar trading platforms may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Calypso platform for front-to-back trade processing, including booking, lifecycle management, and validations across multiple asset classes.
  • Collaborate with Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office teams to ensure seamless trade flows, operational controls, and issue resolution.
  • Participate in Calypso upgrades, enhancements, and platform stabilizations, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Aid in the configuration and support of trade components, confirmations, settlements, and accounting processes across asset classes.
  • Validate trade lifecycle events and associated data across systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with business rules and regulatory requirements (e.g., CFTC, EMIR, CAD).
  • Provide subject-matter expertise on Collateral Management workflows and integrations with internal and external systems.
  • Leverage ISDA SIMM methodologies for margining, risk, and collateral calculations as required.
  • Engage actively in Agile delivery processes, including story refinement, sprint planning, and iterative deliveries.
  • Support testing activities, including functional validations, regression scenarios, and user acceptance testing.
  • Work with Calypso Automation Test Tool (CATT) for automated validation and testing tasks where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience with trading derivative products, especially in Interest Rate, FX Options, and Commodities.
  • Experience with trade booking across multiple asset classes on Calypso or equivalent trading platforms.
  • Deep understanding of trade lifecycle events, from capture through settlement.
  • Working knowledge of regulatory reporting standards such as CFTC, EMIR, CAD, or comparable regimes.
  • Experience in payment processing, accounting, confirmations, and related validations within a trading application context.
  • Solid understanding of Collateral Management processes and margining calculations, including ISDA SIMM.
  • Previous involvement in Calypso upgrades or major platform enhancement initiatives.
  • Experience working across Front Office, Middle Office, and Back Office functions.
  • Proven Agile delivery experience with cross-functional teams.
  • CATT (Calypso Automation Test Tool) experience is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior expertise with Calypso configuration, workflow tuning, and batch processes.
