CA IDMS Architect Albany NY 1 Year+ We are requesting Consulting Services for an CA IDMS Technical Architect, Expert-Level (HIGH Skill Demand) position within the ITS Enterprise mainframe database team. Required Skills The position requires the CA IDMS specialist to provide database administration and technical support for CA IDMS v.19 running on an IBM Mainframe running the IBM z/OS operating system, which host multiple applications/databases of a highly critical nature and require 24X7 availability. This position supports all areas of CA IDMS database administration and technical support, including database troubleshooting, architecture, design, and development of new and existing database solutions to support mission critical projects and Governor initiatives, for the Department of Tax and Finance's CARTS, SWOP, Wage Reporting, Tax Accounting, Gift Tax and Beverage Container applications as well as the Office of Mental Health's applications The individual should be able to work independently, in a team setting, and be able to coordinate work with agency requestors and ITS technical units as required. The consultant shall help applying patches thereby maintaining latest/supported version concurrency of the database software. We currently support 7 instances of IDMS at Tax alone
