Job Title: Big Data Test Lead Client: TEK Systems Work Location: Durham, NA Project duration: 12+Months+ Extension Required Experience: 10+ Top Skills Details 1) 10+ years of testing experience and recent experience acting as a test lead, in that they lead all efforts related to testing activities, such as test plans and management of off-shore resources. 2) Current experience implementing test automation using selenium framework 3) Current experience testing in a big data environment. Most applications are built with scala and spark for streaming from Hadoop however there are also legacy applications built in Java with Oracle databases. Description The Test Lead is responsible for planning the test execution plans and ensuring that test execution tasks are assigned and executed accordingly. They are responsible for mitigating business risks through timely, precise execution and validation of test results. They must work closely with development teams to create test plans for enhancements and application fixes. They will work under minimal supervision to carry out procedures and execute testing to ensure that the application meeting project engagement and requirements. -Will be responsible for leading Test Automation efforts -Provide guidance, QA best practices, and testing oversight for off-shore resources Concepts and technologies needed: Automated Coverage/Traceability Reporting Test Data Management, Data-driven Automation Framework CI/CD Java, Scala Open-source Automation Technologies (e.g. Selenium WebDriver) Agile Practices Object-Oriented Design Patterns/Development Principles Automated UI Testing and Web Services Testing Build Tools with Dependency Management (e.g. maven, gradle) Git Hadoop and Oracle for data acquisition Requirements Analysis Spark Test Case and Defect Management Tools (e.g. Jira) Test-driven Development DevOps Infrastructure (concepts and tools) Should you be interested, please send me a copy of your resume in word format along with the following details ASAP.
