Solution Architect/Technical Architect Plano, TX Long-term Contract Education and Experience College degree in a technical field required (computer science, engineering, computer information systems) Advanced degree in a technical field is preferred Technical certifications are a plus Should have minimum 12-14 years of IT experience with at least 2 years working as Solution Architect/ Enterprise Architect Minimum 10-15 years of experience in development including a minimum of 08+ years leading development resources Experience in the concepts and methodologies of enterprise architecture Experience leading technical troubleshooting including bug fix remediation. Senior level knowledge in Kafka, Spring Boot, and java development and systems integration Senior level knowledge in cloud development and systems integration Continuous Integration Tools (SVN/Maven/Jenkins/JIRA) AWS, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, Cucumber Experience in Java, JavaScript, Spring Boot, AWS, DevOps, Microservices, Kubernetes, CI/CD, Terraform etc. Hands on experience with testing tools such as Selenium and Cucumber and their integration into CI/CD pipelines. Datastores such as MongoDB, Cassandra, Redis, Elasticsearch, MySQL, Oracle. Strong knowledge of AWS cloud platform including networking concepts, elastic and serverless computing, database, analytics Experience of designing infrastructure/application making use of dynamic scaling using EKS/Kubernetes clusters Experience of containerizing on-premises web application using Docker and migrating to AWS EKS cluster Security architecture design and certificate management. Roles & Responsibilities: Broad understanding of technologies and has experience in implementation methodologies, software development life cycle process, and project management Responsible for development and implementation of cross-functional application design strategy, architecture, and platforms to ensure solutions are optimized for flexibility, scalability, security and performance. Responsible for making software solutions more understandable and manageable by providing unifying and simplifying concepts including better work partitioning with decreased and/or more manageable dependencies. Accountable for adhering to corporate architecture standards, ensuring technology standards and best practices are maintained across the organization and contributing to corporate architecture strategy-setting. Accountable for shepherding the design solution all the way through coding, testing and into production, including resolution of post-production issues. Participates in governance processes of new technologies and solutions to ensure consistent technology life cycle management. Participates in formulating solution estimates and working planning including determining appropriate task sequencing and identification of technical skill sets required. Builds consensus around principles of application architecture and interprets and clarifies these principles. Participates on project teams contributing input regarding technology vision, opportunities and challenges. Participates in the evaluation, selection and implementation of technology solutions including providing detailed analysis of pros and cons and build vs buy options. Develops conceptual, logical and physical application process and architecture, working closely with other Architects as needed. Maintains operational, architectural and design documentation including procedures, task lists, and architecture blueprints. Evaluates strengths and flaws in application architecture including performance, quality, availability, simplicity of design, security, and total cost of ownership Facilitates project hand-offs including preparing documentation, educating and supporting to ensure smooth transitions. Establishes and maintains relationships with IT and business area partners and provides consultation to the BRM and business teams. Troubleshoots, recommends, and executes action plans for issue resolution. Selects and designs tools that allow reuse of design components and patterns between projects. Participates in issues resolution by removing barriers and driving development teams toward a solution.
