Position: Technical Project Manager Location: Downtown NY (Will start remote and then be onsite) Duration: Long Term contract Required experience/skills: Turrets experience and financial services background are a must. Candidate will possess strong communication and management skills, an ability to work in a high pressure and dynamic environment, and be available for periodic work on weekends and holidays. A minimum of 10 years' experience related to Project Management of IT Infrastructure initiatives is required. Experience in the Telecommunication industry is a significant plus. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Products, specifically Excel, is considered a plus. A college degree and/or PMP is preferred. Specific duties: Management of all projects assigned - ensuring that all aspects of the project are closely monitored. This will include planning, procurement tracking, and personnel supervision. Ensure that all internal PMO processes and guidelines are followed. This will include utilization of specific PM Tools and adherence to established reporting and PMO Lifecycle processes. Maintain, at all times, the knowledge of the current status of assigned projects. Ensuring that all resources are closely supervised and controlled. Management of the allocated Project team. This will include control and monitoring of Team Members performance and responsibilities. Act as customer liaison regarding planned and actual work; ensuring that the Customer is aware at all times of IPC requirements, dependencies, delivery dates, installation dates, and other activities documented in the project plans. Review customer provided information for accuracy and completeness. Follow up on all discrepancies with the client and/or consultant and generate all forms in the proper format to be input into IPC System Center database to ensure proper equipment configuration/programming. Ensure that company policies and procedures are adhered to and all documentation is completed accurately, in a timely manner. Provide clear and concise reports, as requested, on assigned duties. Liaise and coordination activities with other IPC Departments, where necessary, during the course of the project implementation. Attended all necessary training courses required for this position, whilst continuing to keep abreast of new technical developments pertaining to the IPC product range. Create and coordinate project material orders with our Material Management Team and our manufacturing facility. Schedule and facilitate meetings (internal IPC as well as client) related to the collection of data, the status of project activities, and dissemination of RAID reporting. Participate in walkthroughs and weekend coverage prior to system cutover to ensure that all project tasks are completed to IPC specifications and customer expectations. Manage the escalation of issues to appropriate personnel, as necessary. Assist with other Operations Department duties, as necessary.
