Title: Asset Manager Location: Alpharetta, GA Duration: 12+ Months Job Description: Essential Duties and Responsibilities Consults and acts as a resource to management and key stakeholders as the subject matter expert on Software Licensing, Software Audits & Software License Models to impact compliance, organizational capabilities and/or return on investment. Able to successfully interface with all levels and areas of the organization, establish close working relationships and build consensus and support for improvement opportunities. Demonstrate systematic investigational skills that include ability to understand and analyze complex technology processes and develop recommendations to improve efficiency & reduce cost. Design & Implement process to identify and track software ownership throughout the company Design future state operating models that address opportunities uncovered during current state analysis Consults and advises stakeholders on methods to achieve customer objectives, business needs and processes / workflows. Advises on software issues in cooperation with key stakeholders to ensure compliance, proper utilization & proper disposal of software assets Advises stakeholders and partners on the identification, tracking and reporting of key outcomes and license compliance measurements Manage compliance including leading software license audits from 3rd party publishers, prepare & disseminate internal response in conjunction with business stakeholders, procurement & legal Ability to comprehend new technology strengths and weaknesses in order to effectively match technology to possible business solutions Able to express information through resilient verbal and written communications Skilled in the use Microsoft suites of office products, specifically Excel & PowerPoint Actively participates in industry groups to stay abreast of trends and best practices, with the ability to translate them into recommended methods and techniques for obtaining solutions. Design & define SAM controls & measurements throughout the Software Asset Lifecycle Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and support services Education Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a relevant field of work or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience Experience Typically a minimum of 6+ years of progressive work related experience with demonstrated proficiency in multiple disciplines, technologies, or processes related to the position. Technical Skills and Knowledge Ideal candidates will hold or be in the process of obtaining a certification in Software Asset Management (SAM) or IT Asset Management (ITAM) Ideal candidate will be familiar with and have a working knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean or other process improvement methodology Analytical thinking/quantitative, reconciliation, planning, organizational and time management skills to include summarizing information and clearly identifying key elements, patterns, results or relationships. Expert systematic investigational skills include gathering and analyzing data from multiple sources. Understanding of implications of business requirements on the application(s) with the ability to advise stakeholders and key business partners. Expert awareness and knowledge of market trends, business strategies and technology and their interrelationships. Experience advising stakeholders on Software & IT issues. Ability to display expert verbal and written communication skills with different levels within the organization. Proven experience in project management & implementation Proven experience in working effectively with diverse internal and external contacts. Proven change agent Understanding of multiple license types and software suites that allows for reporting and metrics development.
