Job Description:
Business Process Improvement Analyst who can facilitate and lead projects involving design thinking, user experience, and process mapping. This role will lead front-end design-thinking, user-experience and process mapping in order to bridge new technologies with customer needs in pre-project activities through prototype development within the HR Innovation Garage. The role will collaborate with the various functions on high impact initiatives to create innovative human resource technology solutions that address the core needs of all of our customers and users.
You will drive design sprints through a human-centered design process, guiding teams to frame design challenges, collaborate on ideas, develop prototypes and test them with stakeholders.
The output of your work will provide a fluid transfer into technology development by building clarity of the higher-level purpose, design, requirements for handover to product owners and IT development teams.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:
Adopt approaches to deeply empathize with the customer such as conducting early-stage interviews with end-users about their needs to develop this in-depth knowledge of end-to end business processes and challenges within functional area.
Leads or participates in customer-focused idea generation.
Experience with facilitation tools and techniques such as Design Thinking (Human Centered Design) or Lean Sigma. Leads design thinking workshops and may facilitate sessions including determination & application of appropriate tools and techniques. Defines the scope and provides inputs to prioritization and consensus.
Develop interim deliverables to define the opportunity for value capture and articulate the possibilities of new technology to capture that value.
Review opportunities according to business value or objectives and key results.
Actively operate within an Agile delivery methodology including leading agile project delivery activities, such as sprint planning, stand-ups, sprint reviews & demos, and retrospectives as part of daily work routine.
Generate sprint outputs to present recommendations to management and provide a traceable lineage to the solution definition
Lead or participate in solution selection and prototyping efforts working to identify solutions that allow for scaling and customer centric solutioning.
Analyse & interpret data to inform recommendations/next steps.
Work with cross-functional teams: remove silos, bridge gaps across stakeholder groups & lead a team toward a common goal.
Maintain stakeholder communications & ensure they are always up to date on status of work.
Elicit and translate business needs into user stories / documented functional and non-functional requirements.
Ability to translate business requirements to the technical team & relay technical feedback to project teams and stakeholders.
Support stakeholders in their decision-making by presenting the different (functional and solution) design alternatives and their impact in a clear way.
Ensures solutions delivered to the customer are innovative and meets/exceeds expectations.
Determine & present/illustrate business value of moving forward with a design recommendation.
Key Skills & Experience
Understanding of disruptive technologies (AI, Hyper Automation, Predictive Analytics, etc
Proven professional experience in Design Thinking/Human-Centered Design methods, Agile and SCRUM.
Strong design aesthetic and visualization skills.
Expertise in various business analysis methodologies, including data analysis, uses case development, story writing, and user acceptance testing and product documentation.
Demonstrable operation as a hands-on lead BA on large scale technology or complex cross-functional projects.
Operational experience or knowledge with HR processes and systems.
Critical thinking and analytical problem solving skills.
A proven track record of delivering software/technology, ideally using agile methodologies
Customer-centric mindset.
Strong stakeholder management experience
Strong interpersonal, facilitation, and written communication skills including ability to work with cross-functional & geographically diverse teams to drive tangible outcomes.
Able to synthesize feedback and input from key business partners to influence the team goals and visions.
Comfortable challenging assumptions in a professional manner.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment including ability to prioritize & deliver on commitments (high quality, on budget, on time) while working on multiple projects concurrently.
Comfortable working virtually with global stakeholders
Strong business acumen

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
English Language Proficiency.
Trained in agile methodology & previous experience delivering software projects in an agile environment
Qualified/certified in design thinking & has worked in an environment where design-thinking principles have been deployed.
5 years of related experience in combination with a bachelor’s degree.
3 years of related experience in combination with a master’s degree.
