Business Intelligence Specialist - Level 3 2300 Yonge Street 26th floor Start Date 2021-01-18 End Date 2021-05-31 Description MSP Notes Shortlisting Date: Wednesday, January 13th at 2:00 pm EST Maximum number of Candidate Submissions: 1 (One) Must haves: At least 5 year's experience providing Database / Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) / Business Intelligence (BI) maintenance and support services using the following: MS SQL DB Server 2014 / 2019 Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) OBIEE 12c Oracle Visual Analyzer Oracle Analytical Servers (OAS) Alteryx ETL Nice to Have: Familiarity with Ontario LDC operational data (RRR would be ideal) Experience working with the Canadian and/or Ontario energy industry / public sector Note Assignment Type: This position is currently listed as "Onsite" due to COVID-19 related WFH direction. Once OEB staff are required to return to the office, the resource under this request will be required to work onsite as well. - Provide Database / Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) / Business Intelligence (BI) maintenance and support services as needed to: A. Ensure computing services are available within the full production environment (server management) B. Provide regular monitoring and preventative maintenance services (monitoring key system counters C. Maintain code (Break - fix) and support related to business application databases, data warehouse and BI reporting systems, during business hours. D. Carry out necessary Operating system upgrades E. Provide business application support, documentation and scripts. For documentation example, design, implementation, root causes, start / stop procedures, daily, weekly, monthly and yearly maintenance procedures, fail-over procedures, disaster recovery procedures, etc. F. Patch level management for all major components within the database / Data Warehouse / BI environment. G. Change Management - Follow the OEB change management process / maintain the appropriate documentation resulting from any change. H. Test Disaster Recovery services - Assist with developing, testing and implementing the Disaster Recovery plan (related to DB, EDW and BI) consistent with OEB requirements. Skills Experience and Skill Set Requirements Technical Skills: 40% At least 5 year's experience providing Database / Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) / Business Intelligence (BI) maintenance and support services using the following: MS SQL DB Server 2014 / 2019, Oracle Business Intelligence (BI) OBIEE 12c / Oracle Visual Analyzer, Oracle Analytical Servers (OAS), Microsoft Power BI, Alteryx and Data Warehouse / ETL's Industry Experience and Additional Knowledge: 40% Familiarity with Ontario LDC operational data (RRR would be ideal) Experience working with the Canadian and/or Ontario energy industry / public sector Experience with Customer Relations Management software (e.g. Pivotal) Collaboration and Communication Skills: 20% Ability to work in a team environment Excellent communication skills
