Job Title: Business Intelligence/ Business Analyst

Job Description :
 
  • Deliver SaaS and Subscription metrics and related analytic data sets in VMWare’s Enterprise Data Warehouse to support VMWare’s transition to a Multi-Cloud business model; effectively drive and improve the self-service model in the business.
  • Using advanced SQL skills, query data from multiple tables/databases and perform reporting/ad-hoc analyses/deep dives to shape the detailed data requirements for metrics/KPIs and the associated data set.
  • Partner with business and EDA stakeholders to understand the data needs and provide advice on how to use the metrics and the data.
  • Support end-to-end Business Intelligence lifecycle development processes as needed, which includes, but is not limited to, capturing business requirement definitions (BRD/user stories), creating functional requirement definitions (FRD), technical design documents (TDD), and running user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Support the enterprise SaaS analytics effort in pursuit of VMWare’s Multi-Cloud and SaaS Acceleration Plan (MCSAP).
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders and IT on the KPIs and metrics to monitor and run the business and build reports using them
  • Partner closely with IT counterparts on functional requirements and design to drive successful end-state solutions.
  • Provide a clear path to the automation of metrics and data to the business stakeholders with a clear articulation of dependencies and asks.
  • Prototype and implement reports and dashboards to get users engaged and excited about BI & Analytics solutions
  • Oversight and project management Data, BI & Analytics related tasks within the project such as providing status reports, leading BI requirement gathering sessions, and UAT activities.
  • Lead current state to future state detailed impact analysis activities to provide input to program and product/solution strategy and approach.
  • Connect the dots between different data domains and metrics to help inform data strategy.
  • Leads and is accountable for end-to-end testing and QA lifecycle activities to validate requirements are being met through data solutions, data model verification, and AS-IS to TO-BE reconciliations.
