RQ01176 - Business Architect Senior Toronto, ON Start Date 2021-04-01 End Date 2021-09-30 Rate: CAD $ 720/Day Assignment Type: Hybrid Security Level: No Clearance Required # Business Days: 125.00 Description MSP Notes Shortlisting Date: Wednesday March 17th at 2:00 PM EST Maximum number of Candidate Submissions: 1 (one) Must Haves: Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables / artefacts (e.g. models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practice Knowledge of Zachman Framework including business / information / application / technology / security architectures Ability to promote I&IT project management best practices and adherence to standard methodologies Responsibilities: Analyzes government information pertinent to business architecture, consults with appropriate government contacts on specific business architecture elements and conducts focus group workshops. Models business at enterprise and/or core business levels. This also includes: Design of capability models and related architectural solutions of business tasks, mapping capability functionality to the internal and external resources, Developing and maintaining architectural governance and controls over implementation Provides project management on large scale, complex, high profile and high risk projects for OPS I&IT initiatives. Ensures project deliverables meet clients' business requirements on time, scope and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance with OPS project management methodologies and frameworks. General Skills: Knowledge and experience with a wide range of methods, techniques and tools for business architecture such as, but not limited to: business functional modeling, service lifecycle modeling, business event modeling, business process mapping, value chain analysis, and other related disciplines; Good understanding of diverse business environments, especially government environments, and a good understanding of the business drivers in these environments; Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables (e.g. models) based on Ontario Government Enterprise Architecture processes and practice Proven ability to identify and analyze business requirements; Knowledge and experience of information technology providing the ability to integrate and identify IT-enabled opportunities to solve business pressures/needs; Business and Information Management & IT strategic and operational planning and performance management practices, especially as they apply to the public sector environment; Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, consensus building, and problem- solving skills; Demonstrated commitment and proven ability with effective stakeholder management Experience as a business architect, who has successfully modeled the business at the enterprise and/or core business levels for medium to large organizations Experience in developing enterprise architecture deliverables/artefacts (e.g. models) Knowledge of Zachman Framework including business / information / application / technology / security architectures Ability to promote I&IT project management best practices and adherence to standard methodologies Demonstrated experience directing project teams to ensure project deliverables are delivered on time and adhere to government and ministry standards Extensive experience coordinating and monitoring project processes, and developing/communicating guidelines and procedures Proactively identifies potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed. Articulates and prioritizes issues and risks at senior executive levels and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makers. Uses appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects concept, definition, planning, implementation and close-out.
