Job Title: Business Analyst

Onsite/Remote: Remote 100%
Duration: Long Term Contract
Visa: USC, GC

This role is 100% remote, but candidates must be able to travel to Washington at least twice a year. .

The candidate must have previous pharmaceutical experience and research systems experience.

All candidates must be sent with at least 2 manager references.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct comprehensive analysis of various software applications to determine their compatibility, functionality, and potential for integration within the organization's infrastructure.
  2. Collaborate closely with stakeholders, including IT teams, project managers, and end-users, to gather requirements and understand business objectives.
  3. Evaluate technical specifications, system architecture, and data models to identify integration points and potential challenges.
  4. Develop detailed documentation, including functional requirements, use cases, process flows, and technical specifications.
  5. Facilitate communication between different teams involved in the integration process to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  6. Utilize expertise in pharmaceutical research systems to provide insights and recommendations on the selection and integration of specialized software tools.
  7. Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses to anticipate and mitigate potential issues during the integration process.
  8. Collaborate with vendors and third-party providers to understand product capabilities and integration options.
  9. Participate in testing activities, including test case development, execution, and defect resolution, to ensure the quality and reliability of integrated systems.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience working as a Business Analyst in a technical environment, with a focus on software integration projects.
  3. In-depth knowledge of pharmaceutical research systems and familiarity with industry-specific tools and applications.
  4. Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex technical requirements and system architectures.
  5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  6. Proficiency in documenting requirements and technical specifications using tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or similar.
  7. Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Certification in Business Analysis (e.g., CBAP, CCBA) and relevant technical certifications are a plus.
  9. Recent, prior experience in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry is required.
