IT Business Analyst / Project Manager

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized IT Business Analyst / Project Manager to lead technology projects from concept to implementation while ensuring business requirements are accurately captured, analyzed, and delivered.

This hybrid role combines project management responsibilities with business analysis, including requirements gathering, documentation, stakeholder communication, process improvement, and delivery oversight.


Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

  • Gather, analyze, and document business requirements, user stories, and functional specifications.
  • Conduct stakeholder interviews and collaborate closely with business units to understand project needs.
  • Create process flows, data models, and use-case diagrams.
  • Perform gap analysis and recommend solutions that improve business processes.

Project Management

  • Plan, coordinate, and manage IT projects using Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies.
  • Create and maintain project plans, timelines, budgets, and resource schedules.
  • Lead sprint planning, daily standups, retrospectives, and project review meetings.
  • Track project progress and manage risks, issues, and dependencies.

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Act as a liaison between business stakeholders and technical teams.
  • Communicate project status, updates, and potential roadblocks.
  • Facilitate meetings, workshops, and product demonstrations.

Quality Assurance & Testing

  • Assist in developing test plans, test cases, and acceptance criteria.
  • Participate in UAT (User Acceptance Testing) and ensure solutions meet requirements.
  • Validate deliverables before deployment and provide sign-off for project milestones.

Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare BRDs, FRDs, user stories, workflows, and project documentation.
  • Maintain project artifacts using tools like Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, or Azure DevOps.
  • Generate reports for project progress, KPIs, and performance metrics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 2–5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, or hybrid role.
  • Strong knowledge of SDLC, Agile, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Proficiency with tools like Jira, Confluence, MS Project, Azure DevOps, Trello, or Asana.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in industries such as software, fintech, healthcare, e-commerce, or enterprise IT.
  • Certifications (optional but valuable):
    • CBAP / CCBA (Business Analysis)
    • PMP / CAPM (Project Management)
    • CSM / PSM (Scrum Master)
    • ITIL Foundation
  • Understanding of SQL, reporting, or basic data analysis.
  • Experience with process improvement frameworks such as Lean Six Sigma.
