Title: Business Analyst

Location: Jersey City, NJ - hybrid onsite (LOCAL CANDIDATES ONLY!)
Duration: 6 months (Possible of extension)

BPM Business Analyst
A Business Process Management (BPM) Business Analyst analyzes, designs, and implements improved business processes to increase efficiency, productivity, and profitability by identifying inefficiencies, gathering requirements, collaborating with stakeholders, and using process modeling techniques to create streamlined workflows. Key responsibilities include documenting current processes, identifying bottlenecks, developing new procedures, implementing technological solutions, and providing training and support to ensure successful adoption.

Key Responsibilities
Process Analysis & Documentation:
• Analyze existing business workflows to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.
•Use process mapping and flowcharting to document current processes.
•Conduct site analyses and interview stakeholders to understand how work is performed and gather requirements.

Solution Design & Development:
•Design and implement new, optimized processes, procedures, and workflows.
•Develop solutions for business problems, sometimes leveraging automation.
•Create visual aids, such as flowcharts, to represent new processes and ensure clarity.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Management:
•Work with various teams across departments to gather requirements and ensure alignment on process changes.
•Facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
•Present strategies and proposed solutions to executives and stakeholders.

Implementation & Change Management:
•Oversee the implementation of updated processes and new technologies.
•Provide training and support to employees on new processes and systems.
•Adjust processes as needed and monitor performance to ensure effectiveness.

Performance Measurement:
•Devise and implement performance measures for new processes.
•Gather and analyze performance data to assess process effectiveness.

Required Skills
•Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and uncover root causes of inefficiencies.
•Process Modeling: Proficiency in techniques like process mapping, flowcharting, and workflow design.
•Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
•Problem-Solving: Ability to devise innovative solutions and make strategic recommendations.
•Technical Acumen: Understanding of relevant business process management (BPM) technologies and software.
•Methodologies: Knowledge of methodologies like Six Sigma and Lean principles is often beneficial.
