Responsibilities:

Manage tasks that improve operational effectiveness of Health Care Services Departments with emphasis on process.
Perform routine and moderately complex activities under limited supervision in order to design, implement, maintain and support policies, processes and systems related to Medicare risk adjustment.
Consistently exhibit behavior and communication skills that demonstrate OptumCare’s commitment to superior customer service, including quality, care and concern with each and every internal and external customer.
Develop functional specifications, system design specifications, and business processes for complex business engagements by analyzing and interpreting regulations and requirements.
Assist in the project management of programs by working with vendors and communities to set up and manage projects to completion.
Process additional data into the system, ensures that data was processed and researches any interruptions to the process.
Perform quality assurance on data and file submissions to Health plans during CMS Sweep periods.
Query, analyze, and interpret data for ad hoc analyses.
Work closely with internal and external customers to ensure requirements are clearly documented.
Work on data discovery aggregated and formatting data from various sources and different structures to facilitate its analysis to get right data in the right structured format for data warehouse table structure implementation.
Respond appropriately to and quickly resolve issues related to department applications or programs; manage customer expectations by keeping them informed of progress.
Develop report specifications and creates complex reports for management or communities using available reporting tools and MS visual studio.
Create and review automated processes using SQL Server Management Studio, stored procedures, and functions to facilitate and monitor quality assurance and data accuracy.
Manage milestones and deliverables of complex Business and IT projects in support of Business production by monitoring deadlines and communicating effectively.
Function as a resource and assist with escalated issues and tasks, as needed.
Reconcile internal data to Health plan data.
Adhere to SDLC and change control procedures by working closely with Business, IT department to ensure desired outcomes are achieved.

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements for the position of Business Analyst (Business Intelligence Analyst)

Minimum Education - a Master’s degree in Information Systems and Operations Management

Minimum Experience – Up to three (3) years of experience
