Job Description: MMCP Business Analyst 2 – BA2:

 The Business Analyst (BA) serves as a liaison between the Medical Marijuana Control Program (MMCP) business solution subject matter experts and MMCP application software experts helping business partners achieve their desired outcomes using technology. The MMCP BA coordinates activities and communicates frequently with the Commerce internal IT team.

Job Responsibilities:


Partner with MMCP business solution subject matter experts and MMCP application software experts to elicit high-level requirements and capture business needs; understand the customer journey and define user requirementsnbsp;
Engage business partners and influence project decisions; assess the risks of various solutions and prioritize competing business demandsnbsp;
Define and execute test casesnbsp;
Identify opportunities for business-led delivery; coach employees to make use of technology and informationnbsp;
Create reports, assisting users with issues, and managing users all within the eLicensing systemnbsp;
Partner with the eLicensing support vendor to identify, test, and implement bug fixes.
Develop weekly sales data and licensee product inventory from reports in Metrc (MMCP’s seed-to-sale tracking application) and maintaining sales and inventory dashboards.
Oversee the implementation of system enhancements and troubleshooting with the vendor.
Assist MMCP business solution subject matter experts in operations as needed, including, but not limited to, assisting with new licensee applications and providing coverage when business solution subject matter experts are out of office.
Seek to understand the business needs and deliver prompt, efficient, quality service.


 

Required Skills:


Broad IT domain experience.
Four or more years of process analysis experience especially experience that leverages technology as part of the solution.



B.S. degree requirednbsp; Related business discipline experience preferred.
Microsoft O365 suite products, especially Excel.
Adobe Acrobat Reader and Pro to build forms and splitting/organizing documents.
Track record of working on projects that delivered different types of business outcomes: revenue growth and customer satisfaction.
Knowledge of SQL reporting.
Knowledge of flow chart document design and creation, strong written communication skills, experience in development of business process documentation from inception, and ability to identify potential process improvementsnbsp;
Familiarity with company structure and operations outside of IT.
Experience in converting business requirements and functional requirements to use cases, epics, and user stories with acceptance criteria.
Demonstrated ability to quantify resource requirements and measure and communicate proposed project benefits.
Strong risk assessment, problem resolution, analytical ability, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Demonstrated ability to engage both developers and business partners to achieve target outcomes.
Making cogent arguments recommending a course of action.
Scouring through enormous amounts of information to find the salient points.
Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills.
Experience with Salesforce and Salesforce eLicensing preferred.
Strong communication skillsnbsp; Can conveys complex and technical business issues to diverse audiences, and projects a highly credible, polished image in presentations and communications.
