Job Description :
System Architecture and Engineering
* Leads the ongoing development, support, and maintenance of multiple framework components, including thick-client, web, services, enterprise application integration / service bus, microservices, cloud, and batch.This responsibility includes furthering the frameworks by identifying areas for improvement and advancement, and implementing these changes within the frameworks.
* Guides internal and external resources on the appropriate use of these frameworks and technology in support of product delivery
* Defines the DevOps release management process and tools in an agile and rapidly changing environment. Fosters the execution of an agile release methodology and assists with all aspects of release management for our
entire environment.
* Acts as a focal point for cross-functional items that allow the development teams to deliver projects and maintenance in an agile manner.
This includes providing deep expertise on agile methodologies, understanding and ensuring the implementation of separation of duties, and the ability to identify cross-functional needs and recommend how those needs can be
satisfied
* Develops new applications and features that adhere to technical guidelines and business expectations in an Agile process, modeling coding best practices
* Researches new technologies and provides recommendations to management around the uptake of those technologies.
* Ensures that product technical components conform to BMW Group IT standards and regional guidelines
* Mentors software engineers on best practices for application development and reviews designs and code in furtherance of secure coding and design pattern implementation
* Provides cross-functional support for complex performance issues and application errors. Helps to determine root cause of issues with input from operations and application resources.
Operational Excellence
* Designs applications, application frameworks and shared services to execute with a high level of operational efficiency
* Provides cross-functional support for complex performance issues and application errors. Helps to determine root cause of issues with input from operations and application resources.
* Prepares and documents standard operating procedures and protocols as well as required system documentation
* Supports operational excellence goals through strong operations knowledge
* Resolves escalated support topics as part of tier-3 DevOps role to ensure the highest availability of critical applications
* Plans and executes upgrades of existing applications, tools, and features
Agility & Customer Centricity
* Plans work-effort as part of Agile projects, supporting or even leading ceremonies
* Advocates for customer-centric systems that are well-designed with a view toward excellent customer-experience, and clear business requirements
* Performs other duties as assigned by management

Education
Bachelor''s Degree
Work experience, Leadership experience
Requirements
* 10+ years IT experience
* 5+ years application development in a Microsoft environment
* 3+ Years in a senior level software engineering or architecture role
* A deep understanding of how IT systems are put together at the
lowest levels of detail
* Significant experience solving complex technical problems
Preferences
* 5+ years developing applications using Enterprise Application
Integration tools
* 1+ years financial services
* 1+ years development in and/or support of Microsoft BizTalk server
* 1+ years working with offshore providers
Additional must have:
* .Net framework Server side development experience
* WCF service development
* Good understanding of HTTP and REST
Additional Preferred skills:
* Development experience in .Net Core
* Knowledge of Containerization/ experience with Docker Containers
* Development and deployments with AWS
* GIT, Jenkins, Terraform
