Data Architect/ Big Data Architect
Location: NYC, NY
Duration: 6+ months contract
Key Skills:
Hands on developer with SME in big data (hive, spark, scala) and sql (query design and tuning in any rdbms)
Scripting- Perl/Python/Bash
Cloud- either of azure, aws
Understanding of either of c++, java)
Candidate should have experience in system design and will be asked scenario based questions.
Skills Required:
o 10+ years solution design and implementation
o Experience of requirements elicitation, analysis and documentation
o Experience of requirements management and planning
o Experience of Solution Assessment and Validation
o Excellent verbal and written communication skills
o Understanding of development and implementation lifecycles
o Ability to motivate others, drive working groups and resolve disagreements
o Data modelling
o Java (proficient)
o Scala
o Cloud: Apache HBase, Phoenix, Spark (proficient)
o SQL (proficient)
o Dataflow visualization / diagramming
o Presentation skills
