Big Data Architect (Atlanta local preferred) Relevant Experience(in Yrs) 3 to 7 Years Technical/Functional Skills Big Data Architect Experience Required 3 to 10 Years Roles & Responsibilities Responsibilities · Leverage sophisticated Big Data technologies into current and future business applications · Lead end to end solution design for Big Data products using agile methodologies for MVP’s, POC’s to show case quick wins · Design and implement modern, scalable data center architectures (on premise, hybrid or cloud) that meet the requirements of our business partners · Ensure the architecture is optimized for large dataset acquisition, analysis, storage, cleansing, transformation and reclamation · Have a constant communication with the business units, data scientists and project managers to set up best practices in data analytics & architecture locally · Lead the research and evaluation of emerging technologies, industry and market trends to assist in project development and operational support actives Must have 5 – 7 years of experience in the following: Architecture, design, implementation, operation and maintenance of Big Data solutions (preferably Azure ecosystem) · Hands-on experience with major Big Data technologies and frameworks including Hadoop, MapReduce, Pig, Hive, HBase, Oozie, Mahout, Flume, ZooKeeper, MongoDB, and Cassandra. · Experience with Big Data solutions deployed in large cloud computing infrastructures such as Azure, AWS and GCE · Strong knowledge of programming and scripting languages such as Java, Linus, PHP, Ruby, Phyton · Familiar with machine learning/deep learning framework, include R, sklearn and Tensorflow · Knowledge of data lifecycle management, data protection/security and data governance · Knowledge of project management methodology(e.g. Agile, DevOps, Mic service) · Self-responsibility, team player and good communication skills Generic Managerial Skills Focus on problem resolution and troubleshooting Knowledge on hardware capabilities and software interfaces and applications Ability to produce quality digital assets/products Education Bachelor’s Degree (accredited school) with emphasis in: Computer/Information Science Information Technology Engineering Management Information System (MIS)
