Job Description
Responsible for daily and strategic management and control of the software portfolio in order to optimize the value, cost and risk of software. You will track, maintain, and coordinate license and maintenance agreement renewals. Development of reports that pull data from various sources showing license entitlements, installations, usage, renewal, and data gaps and research and develop standardization. This position is expected to research, understand and evaluate department business workflows which are dependent on Microsoft Office products for the purposes of automation and G Suite integration. This position will design and build simple and efficient business workflows. This position will assist in the development, research and cost benefit analysis of government IT Software application product agreements/contracts and collaborate as necessary with other departments and public agencies. BI Software Specialist will work closely with cross-functional teams and responsible for establishing a trusted and preferred partner/advisor for IT service delivery.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Solid understanding of the various aspects of software licensing models, renewals, maintenance agreements and enterprise agreements
Knowledge of software systems development life cycle and IT evaluation, planning, and procurement development and implementation stages and best practices.
Skilled in applying tools and techniques of project management to negotiate formal acceptance of the scope with stakeholders, and to manage needed changes in scope and deliverables throughout projects.
Microsoft Licensing experience a plus
Gsuite applications
Strong quantitative, analytical, problem solving skills, including the ability to accumulate, organize, and assimilate large amounts of information.
Knowledge of Software Asset Management principals / practices
Strong cross-functional team leadership skills
The successful candidate will have 3-5 years of Software contract administration and management experience, and be proficient in relevant software applications.
Prior experience managing cross functional projects
Knowledge of laws (Arizona Revised Statues, Federal) rules and regulations, policies and procedures which apply to procurement rules, regulations and procedures.
Demonstrated understanding of finance and business acumen in order to support creation of ROI reports
High level of understanding of contracting dynamics to Conduct research, extract, compile, analyze and present information in support of contract compliance and benchmarking
As a team player with strong collaborative skills-you thrive in a busy cross-functional environment.
Ability to speak clearly and persuasively in positive and/or in conflict situations, listen and get clarification, respond well to questions, demonstrates group presentation skills and participate in meetings.
Resource will be working in a professional environment and will be held to a dress code standard
