  • Lead deployment and adoption of imaging data management standards for early-stage research scientists
  • Gather user requirements to create a data management strategy for organization and curation of raw imaging data produced from advanced microscopy platforms
  • Develop and implement a strategy for research scientists to easily store, locate and access imaging data to facilitate advanced image analysis according to FAIR principles
  • Continually search for opportunities to improve data management standards for scientific instruments and to develop methods to streamline storage of image data
  • Support data integration efforts across diverse data sources
  • Experience with data management and curation of image data generated by life science lab instruments and medical devices
  • Able to work with Linux, Mac, Windows and HPC cluster environments and scientific instrument systems
  • Knowledge of various radiologic and scientific imaging formats: DICOM, OME TIFF, FDF, Analyze .img/.hdr, Nifti, Bruker MRI, .ND2, .LIF, .SLD
  • Familiarity with a scripting language for workflow automation such as Python, Bash or PowerShell to automate data transfers and workflow processing a plus
  • Work with scientists, contractors, and IT staff to curate, organize, and document clinical images from Genentech and Roche trials.
  • Support data integration efforts across diverse data sources.
  • Support development of Machine Learning/Deep Learning (ML/DL) algorithms and pipelines using the image data.
  • Continually search for opportunities to automate workflows and streamline processes.
  • Direct communication with outside vendors and in-house staff to reconcile data transfer problems.
  • Reporting on imaging assets to business stakeholders.
  • Coordination of transfers of clinical imaging data from outside sources using a variety of data transfer options such as sFTP,, or Aspera.
  • Develop machine learning models with Python.
