Role Overview: The ERP System Analyst for User Roles Definition is responsible for the design and configuration of user roles and permissions within the organization's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system. This role ensures that system access aligns with business needs, security requirements, and regulatory compliance, allowing users to perform their tasks effectively and securely.

Key Responsibilities:

1. User Role Analysis: Collaborate with various departments and stakeholders to identify user roles and their respective access requirements within the ERP system.

2. Access Definition: Define and document user role profiles, including access rights, permissions, and restrictions, in alignment with business processes.

3. Role Customization: Configure the ERP system to assign and manage user roles, privileges, and security settings.

4. Security and Compliance: Ensure that user roles comply with data security, privacy, and regulatory requirements.

5. User Training: Develop and deliver training materials to help users understand their role-specific access rights and responsibilities.

6. Access Review: Periodically review and assess user roles to make adjustments as needed, ensuring they stay up-to-date with evolving business needs.

7. Access Control: Monitor and control user access requests, permissions changes, and access revocations.

8. Issue Resolution: Assist users with access-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and provide solutions promptly.

9. Documentation: Maintain comprehensive documentation of user roles, access permissions, and configuration changes.

10. Collaboration: Work closely with IT and security teams to ensure that access controls are implemented effectively and securely.

Qualifications:

1. Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. Additional certifications in ERP systems or security (e.g., CISSP, CISA) are advantageous.

2. ERP Knowledge: Strong understanding of ERP systems, with specific experience in defining user roles and permissions.

3. Access Control: Proficiency in user access control, role definition, and security best practices.

4. Communication: Excellent communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders and provide user training.

5. Problem Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to address access-related challenges.

6. Documentation: Ability to maintain detailed documentation of user roles and access configurations.

7. Compliance Awareness: Familiarity with data security, privacy, and regulatory compliance requirements.

8. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in defining and configuring user roles accurately.
