Azure DevOps Test Lead

100% Remote

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Azure DevOps Test Lead to drive quality engineering practices and lead testing efforts across projects. This role focuses on implementing test strategies, automation frameworks, and integrating testing within Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and implement end-to-end test strategies and quality assurance processes

  • Lead manual and automated testing efforts across applications

  • Integrate automated testing into Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines

  • Design and develop test automation frameworks (UI, API, performance)

  • Manage test planning, execution, defect tracking, and reporting

  • Collaborate with development, DevOps, and product teams

  • Ensure quality standards, best practices, and compliance

  • Mentor QA engineers and drive continuous improvement initiatives

  • Monitor test metrics and provide actionable insights

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with Azure DevOps (Boards, Repos, Pipelines, Test Plans)

  • Expertise in test automation tools (Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, etc.)

  • Experience in API testing (Postman, RestAssured, etc.)

  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices

  • Proficiency in programming/scripting (Java, Python, JavaScript, or C#)

  • Experience with test management and defect tracking tools

  • Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies

  • Strong knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)

  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

  • Experience with BDD frameworks (Cucumber, SpecFlow)

  • Exposure to security testing practices

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills

  • Effective communication and stakeholder management

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Education & Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field

  • Preferred certifications:

    • Azure DevOps Engineer Expert

    • ISTQB or equivalent QA certification

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with shift-left and shift-right testing approaches

  • Knowledge of AI-driven testing tools

  • Experience in large-scale enterprise environments
