Job Role : Azure DevOps Engineer

An Azure DevOps Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines, cloud infrastructure, and automation solutions to support reliable and scalable application delivery on Microsoft Azure.


Key Responsibilities :

  • Design, build, and manage CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
  • Automate build, test, and deployment processes for applications and services.
  • Provision and manage Azure infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as ARM templates, Bicep, or Terraform.
    Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize application performance and cloud resources in Azure.
  • Implement security best practices, including secrets management, access control (RBAC), and compliance policies.
  • Manage source control repositories (Git) and enforce branching, merging, and code review strategies.
  • Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth releases and stable environments.
  • Configure and maintain Azure services such as App Services, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), Virtual Machines, Storage Accounts, and Azure SQL.
  • Set up logging, monitoring, and alerting using Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Log Analytics.
  • Perform system upgrades, patching, and environment maintenance.
    Document DevOps processes, architectures, and operational procedures

  • Required Skills & Qualifications :
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Azure cloud services.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions.
  • Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience with Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes (AKS).
  • Knowledge of CI/CD concepts, DevOps best practices, and SDLC.
  • Familiarity with IaC tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
  • Experience with monitoring, logging, and troubleshooting cloud environments.
  • Understanding of networking, security, and identity management in Azure.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Preferred Qualifications
  • Azure certifications (AZ-400, AZ-104, AZ-305).
  • Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments.
  • Knowledge of configuration management tools like Ansible.
  • Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
