Azure Data Tech Lead/Architect

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Azure Data Tech Lead / Architect to design and lead the implementation of scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on Microsoft Azure. This role combines hands-on technical expertise with leadership responsibilities, guiding teams in building modern data solutions and ensuring alignment with business objectives.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design and architect end-to-end data solutions on Azure
  • Lead development of data pipelines, data lakes, and data warehouses
  • Define and implement data architecture standards and best practices
  • Work closely with stakeholders to translate business requirements into data solutions
  • Oversee data integration, transformation, and orchestration processes
  • Ensure data security, governance, and compliance
  • Mentor and guide data engineers and developers
  • Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
  • Evaluate and recommend Azure data services and tools
  • Support production deployments and troubleshoot complex data issues

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or related field
  • 8–12+ years of experience in data engineering / data architecture
  • Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake)
  • Proficiency in SQL, Python, or Scala
  • Experience with ETL/ELT processes and big data technologies
  • Strong understanding of data modeling techniques (dimensional, normalized)
  • Experience with data warehousing and analytics solutions

Preferred Qualifications

  • Azure certifications such as:
    • Azure Data Engineer Associate
    • Azure Solutions Architect Expert
  • Experience with real-time/streaming data (e.g., Event Hub, Kafka)
  • Knowledge of BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
  • Familiarity with data governance and catalog tools
  • Exposure to multi-cloud or hybrid architectures
