Title: Azure Data Engineer Location: Brockton, MA Start: ASAP Duration: 6+ months Important Skills Technical Azure, SSIS, SQL, Azure Datalake, Python, Spark, PowerBI, Databricks Soft must be detail-oriented and have the ability to manage / prioritize multiple projects while also supporting any issues that might arise with Production workloads MUST BE ABLE TO CONVERT WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP MUST BE ABLE TO SIT ONSITE IN MA AFTER COVID Project: W.B. Mason has completed initial phases of our migration to the cloud but we anticipate being in a hybrid mode between our on-prem applications and data stores and the cloud platforms for the next few years. We will be building data synchronization between the applications via ETL tools and Event Driven APIs as well as implementing Azure's Data platforms (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL, etc In addition to experience with on-premises SQL / SSIS solutions, the qualified candidate should also have several years of experience with Azure data platforms, ideally with experience in migrating on-premises databases + ETL solutions. Must Have: Microsoft SQL Server and Azure data tools. Min of 5-7 years of extensive experience in o Data Engineering ETL tools, o Data processing o SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) o SQL Server Data Tools (SSDT Min of 2 years of extensive hands-on experience in Azure Big Data technologies like o Azure Data Lake o Azure Blob Storage o Azure Data Factory o Azure Cosmos DB o Azure Data Bricks o Synapse Analytics, etc. Hands-on experience with data migration methodologies and processes to transform on-premises data to cloud using tools like Azure Data Factory, Azure / Power BI Data Flows, Data Migration Service, SSIS, etc. Experience working with developer tools such as Azure DevOps and GitLabs Ability to independently troubleshoot and performance tune large scale enterprise systems. Extensive knowledge of data architecture principles (e.g., data lake, data warehousing, etc. Conceptual understanding of cloud architectures, service tiers and hybrid deployment models. Plus: Power BI reporting tool experience is also a plus. Using third party data integration / migration tools (e.g., Kingswaysoft, Task Factory, etc Hands-on programming experience in additional technologies, such as Python, SQL, Java, C#, Spark, Databricks, Powershell, etc., is a plus Summary W.B. Mason is looking to add an Azure Data Engineer to support the Company's digital transformation efforts, specifically the efforts to migrate our ERP, eCommerce and Data Warehouse/BI/Analytics platforms to the Microsoft cloud. Our Data Engineering team is based in Brockton, MA; however, this position would be fully remote for the foreseeable future, until such time as it is safe to return to the office. W.B.
