Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and maintain secure, scalable, and highly available cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise across core AWS services, networking, automation, and observability, along with strong scripting and problem-solving skills in Agile environments.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, configure, and manage AWS environments using services such as VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, Backups, EKS, SSO, MSK, Security Hub, and GuardDuty.

  • Implement and manage advanced networking solutions including AWS Transit Gateway (TGW) and Direct Connect for hybrid cloud connectivity.

  • Set up and optimize monitoring and observability systems using Amazon CloudWatch, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry (OTEL).

  • Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, integrated with GitLab CI/CD pipelines for automated deployments.

  • Configure and manage Kubernetes (EKS) clusters with Istio service mesh, ensuring traffic management, security, and observability.

  • Perform security patching and vulnerability remediation across cloud-native and containerized workloads, maintaining compliance with organizational and industry standards.

  • Develop automation scripts and tools using Python, Bash, or Shell scripting to streamline infrastructure operations.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile/Scrum environments to deliver reliable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions.

  • Troubleshoot and optimize infrastructure for performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.


Required Skills and Experience:

  • 6–8 years of professional experience in AWS Cloud Engineering or DevOps.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AWS core services (VPC, EC2, S3, IAM, Route 53, EKS, Security Hub, GuardDuty, etc.).

  • Advanced networking expertise, including Transit Gateway, Direct Connect, and hybrid setups.

  • Solid experience with Terraform, GitLab CI/CD, and Shell scripting for infrastructure automation.

  • Proficiency in Kubernetes (EKS) and Istio for container orchestration and service mesh management.

  • Strong understanding of observability tools such as CloudWatch, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

  • Hands-on scripting or development experience with Python and/or Bash.

  • Experience implementing security best practices, patching, and compliance frameworks in AWS environments.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, collaborative Agile environments.


Preferred Skills:

  • Exposure to AWS Well-Architected Framework and security compliance tools.

  • Experience in cost optimization and disaster recovery planning.

  • Familiarity with container security, monitoring, and incident management workflows.
