Title: AWS Data Engineer
Location: CANAL
Duration: 04 Months with extension or possible contract to hire after 90 days
Start Date: 09/01/2023 or ASAP
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Any/all Leads presented should have 5-10 years of data warehouse experience in addition to tech stack
· Additional skills noted are nice to have but should not be a priority
· Showcased ability to offer educational support and continuous training capability as the technology changes/evolves
Skills:
· Experience developing and deploying application code using SQL, Python, spark.
· 3-5 years of experience developing and deploying data pipeline in cloud.
· 3-5 years of experience in AWS using glue, athena, lambda, secrets manager, redshift, redshift spectrum, postgreSQL, cloudformaton, step functions, s3, ec2, boto3.
· Securing data using IAM and Active Directory
· Experience developing Linux, UNIX shell scripts
· Experience with monitoring and logging techniques to be used in conjunction with Cloudwatch and Splunk.
· Working knowledge of version control tools and branching techniques using Artifactory, Jenkins, and Bitbucket
· Experience with Tableau, or Power BI is a plus.
Additional information on background:
· Developer experience in big data or warehouse (Hadoop, DB2 LUW) environment may be beneficial.
· Agile experience expected.
Leadership skill/ Soft skills:
· Collaborative, team player.
· Self-starter.
· Curious about technology.
Total level of experience:
· Seeking developers with python, spark, pyspark, and SQL developer experience in AWS.
· AWS Cloud Practitioner certification, or other AWS certification is a plus.
