Title: AWS Cloud Engineer
Location: Austin, TX 78731/Telework
Duration: 12 months with possible 3 years extension
Last date for submission: April 14, 2021 (2.00 PM-CST)
DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES:
Worker will perform these Tasks:
? Implement and administer directory services security policies, standards, and procedures in coordination with TxDOT Security and Information Security Service Component Provider
? Administer Federation Services within the Directory services environment (currently Active Directory Federation Services), other Federated services, and similar applications
? Interface with Service Provider support as needed, including opening tickets with TxDOT Vendors when support is needed
? Participate in the annual review of machine plans and workload forecasts with TxDOT (the Service Provider shall include long-range technology forecasts and technology refresh planning in this capacity planning process to ensure that TxDOT will realize the full benefits of technology and performance trends)
? Advise (or manage) any upgrade or configuration change of an existing operating systems
? Advise on cloud strategies, new technologies, and trends
? Test new versions of machines, operating system, and software prior to recommending the implementation of these products for TxDOT
? Work with and provide input on solutions from TxDOT and DCS Solution Architects
? Provide Cloud L3 support for all TxDOT data centers
? Work with Applications tower to implement any applications changes and upgrades
? Manage ticket queues as appropriate. Respond to Priority tickets as necessary.
? Create / Advise on processes.
? Participate on call rotation
? Ability to work with Multiple vendors
? Assist in audit processes
WORKER SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum (Required):
3 years of Managing AWS
Managing Server environments
Preferred (Optional):
3 years of Familiarity with ServiceNow/Ticketing System
Ability to follow complex workflow Processes
Familiarity with networking
