Job Description :

L3Harris has two openinga for a Lead Project Engineer for full lifecycle Project Engineering support including hardware, software, and operations. The Lead PE will be managing the execution to ensure accurate and timely completion of tasks and leading a project team to meet customer requirements within allocated cost and schedule commitments in a growing business area.


Required Skills -

1. Requires mastery level knowledge within a specific technical area or multiple job areas typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. Viewed as an expert and/or resource within the field by peers in and outside the organization. Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of 8-10 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 6-8 years of prior related experience.
2.Experience with best practices for project engineering and program execution.
3. Experience in managing multi-discipline programs including Integration and Test.
4. Experience managing projects with budgets of $70M+.
5. Experience with Technical Supplier Management, Risk and Opportunity Management.

Job Duties -

1. Lead daily meetings to go over the plan for the day, adjusting based on external and internal customer needs, and responding to / delivering on those changing priorities as they occur.
2. Responsible for successfully leading a project team, including subcontractors, to meet customer requirements within allocated cost / schedule commitments in a dynamic environment.
3. Facilitate continuous improvement initiatives on processes within the production test environment
4. Improve execution in the production test environment via timely completion of capability releases
5. Gain consensus with various stakeholders (customer, quality operations, engineering PMO) on plans
6. Overall responsible for the schedule development and timely execution. Understands and mitigates risks and problems before they cause schedule slip.
7. Leadership stakeholder in developing and managing the program cost baseline. Works closely with Program Manager and Program Finance Administrator roles in tracking and using EVMS metrics to track progress and reduce variances.
8. Leadership stakeholder in development of program technical baseline.
9. Assesses engineering issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
10. Identifies, tracks, mitigates, manages, and dispositions program-level risks and opportunities.
11. Estimate resource and material needs for the project/product.
12. Provides the coordination between resource managers/supervisors and ensures all necessary reviews and approvals are received

Job Requirements -

1. Experience leading Government Contract development programs.
2. Experience with Government contract acquisition lifecycle.
3. Experience with management of design to cost activities.
4. Experience with program pursuit and proposal activities.
5. Experience in Root Cause Corrective Action process and techniques.
