Need candidates who can relocate to Newark, DE. This is a contract role through the end of 2020. Our client is looking for an Avaya Telecom Engineer to join their team. This is a 4+ month contract role with extension likely with a very well-known organization. Position Description: Avaya CM 6.3 configuration NICE Call Recording Translate technical configuration into business requirements Hands-on configuration of Avaya Aura version 6.3 (doing the keystrokes) Be self-sufficient applying your recent configuration experience no micromanagement in this role Assist the Unified Communications Solutions Architect in the design of systems Work with Solution Architect and project teams to ensure understanding of solutions Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining policies, procedures, and training plans for telecommunication system's appropriate use. Plan the Unified Communication strategies for company call center to ensure that efficient and effective customer interaction is achieved. Integrate these systems with enterprise LANs, WANs, wireless LANs, and Internet-based services and protocols. Integrate these systems with Business applications to enhance business functionality Perform analysis, diagnosis, and resolution of telecommunications problems for end users; recommend and implement corrective solutions. Required Skills: Avaya CM 6.3 configuration experience a must 6+ years' experience in Unified Communications platforms. o Extensive Avaya Aura Communication Manager 5.x or 6.x experience a must (or Modular Messenger recent experience) Last 5+ years VERY heavy on hands-on configuration of Avaya Aura or Modular Messenger. (doing the keystrokes yourself not managing a vendor) o Creating Vectors, Vector programming experience a must o Self Sufficient this role will not be micromanaged Experience in a call center setting well versed Excellent analytical skills, especially in a telecommunications field. Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical data. Excellent initiative and the ability to work independently. Excellent problem solving skills, especially in a technical environment. Certification in a leading telecommunications hardware/software package is required. Bonus Skills: NICE Call Recording a bonus Any certifications in NICE and/or Avaya a bonus Bachelor's degree (BS/BA) or equivalent in Computer Sciences, Business Administration, or related field.
