Automation Tester -1
Location: Tampa, FL
Responsibilities:
Responsible for developing Test Strategy/Planning/Execution, Load/Stress Testing, Functional/Regression, both automated and manual (as required)
Responsible for the test planning, design and development of appropriate test cases / test procedures for all areas of responsibility ensuring high quality of application.
Responsible for Creating and/or maintaining the Automation Test Framework
Responsible for executing test plans, controls and testing applications for the organization using industry accepted testing methodologies, tools and procedures.
Run automated test cases to certify builds, new features, etc. and evaluates usability and functionality.
Collaborates with solution architects and development Engineers on common practices and libraries
Collaborates with product owner and engineers to define detailed test scenarios
Ensures real-time automation of tests, collaborates with developers
Facilitate test data provisioning and management and escalate test data risks and issues
Perform detailed analysis on test results and identifies logical errors
Validate test results, document discrepancies and follow through with resolutions to ensure all issues are resolved.
Make recommendations and participate in improvements
Report progress of problem resolution to management.
Respond to change to meet goals or objectives
Identify, participate and/or drive opportunities for improvements
Lead and Mentor junior test engineers Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or comparable major
4 - 7 years of experience with focus on test plan creation, quality assurance testing, and testing automation.
Must have experience working in Agile Scrum / SAFe Scrum project implementation models
Experience with Agile task management tools (e.g. JIRA, Rally, VersionOne).
Experience with multiple testing strategies including: high availability, disaster recovery, rogue testing, happy path, negative testing, performance testing, and functional testing
Solid experience with automation frameworks/tools (e.g. Selenium, QTP)
Experience with web services and APIs testing using API testing frameworks (e.g. Rest Assured, JMeter, SOAP- UI, Postman)
Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery tools (e.g. git/github, Jenkins, bamboo, gradle/maven, artifactory)
Good knowledge and experience with databases (relational and/or NoSQL).
Passionate about pushing the envelope on current technologies and motivating others to adopt new development and testing methodologies
Detail and results oriented
Work well under pressure, handling projects that have real-time high dependency and challenging business deadlines.
Have excellent written and oral communications skills required to determine, document and present research findings, technical papers and training material (including design documents, specifications, architectural artifacts and diagrams, presentations).
Ability to communicate effectively via multiple channels (verbal, written, etc.) with technical and non-technical staff.
