Position Description:
The ideal candidate can provide architectural and big picture oversight for development processes used in software product lifecycles. Will be responsible for ensuring quality and consistency of the software architecture across the system and providing day-to-day technical guidance to the development teams. Consult on system, technical, and application architectures for major areas of development, and recommend course of action to maintain cost effectiveness and competitiveness. Stay up to date on industry best practices and objectives, particularly as these relate to infrastructure and development architecture issues. Research and implement best practices frameworks/capability models that will control costs, provide higher quality, and/or increase predictability of service delivery. Research new technology and development tools to remain abreast of current and emerging technology.
Candidates will be responsible for consulting on the design and support of enterprise-wide applications and architecture. Solve complex technical problems. Create testing methodology and criteria. Design and coordinate a curriculum for coaching and training development teams in the use of continuous integration tools to enhance software development capability. Work with team members to create standards, policies, and procedures for the form, structure, and attributes of software development methodologies, tools and systems. Research new technology and develop bureau best practices to support software development solutions. Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field. Or equivalent work experience. Seven to 10 years of experience with Java software development frameworks, database management systems, continuous integration tools, user authentication/authorization implementation and best practices.
