Apigee (OPDK) API Gateway Expertise – Extensive experience with on prem Apigee infrastructure build, installation and maintenance
5+ years in-depth hands-on API Management and Apigee Platform support latest versions of Apigee - 4.19/4.18 preferred
Define best practices and implementation plan within the agreed technical scope of work
Ability to apply security, throttling, OAuth 2.0, TLS, certificates, KeyStore, and Trust store for the Apigee platform
Automation expertise with Ansible, Python and shell scripts.
Expertise in configuring the Apigee Private Cloud platform, including keystores, truststores, and KVMs
Support Apigee on-prem in partnership with Architecture and the Engineering teams
Experience in designing and implementing API platform for high traffic API solutions
Ability to apply security, throttling, OAuth 2.0, TLS, certificates, KeyStore, and Trust store for the Apigee platform
Experience with Apigee Management APIs and integrations with enterprise systems including Infrastructure & Application monitoring, SAML or LDAP SSO, and Logging
Support DR (Disaster Recovery) exercises to ensure that the team are fully prepared in the event of a catastrophe
Support Capacity Planning and Management activities to ensure that the Apigee platform will be able to handle additional transactions in the future
Support root cause analysis session to understand what causes issues in Production and come up with solutions that will prevent them from happening in the future in Apigee Edge platform
Lead and partner with other engineers on the team to ensure documentation is created and remain updated
Partner with Architecture to come up with the standard and best practices for the usage of Apigee as an enterprise product
Build relationship with the client application teams to understand their business needs & requirements for the Apigee Platform & also coach on how to use the platform to the full extent
4+ years of experience for managing the full life-cycle of Apigee/API Management solution
Develop REST and SOAP APIs
API security standards and implementation (Oauth 2.0, OpenID or JWT) as per system requirements.
API security certification, authentication, authorization, IP security setup, and endpoint configuration
Define test cases for API
Provide agreed upon support during build and deployment process
Experience with CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
Knowledge of existing API Testing Tools (Postman, SoapUI, or any equivalent tools)
