API Security Engineer will support the software development teams as a Subject Matter Expert in DevSecOps practice in CI/CD
Required Skills/Experience:
Expertise in implementation API security testing tools like SMARTBEAR or Postman or BURP
Strong understanding of OpenAPI specifications
Strong understanding of secure software authorization methods like OAuth
Strong understanding of OWASP API security
Working experience in reviewing API code to verify compliance with the security requirements, and advising development teams on technical issues
Working experience with security testing of Web services, Web API services - REST and SOAP
Familiarity with common software design flaws
At least 3-5 years’ experience in software security
